To play roulette using this strategy, find a table with small minimum bets and high maximum bets. Start small by wagering on red/black, even/odd, or on 1-18/19-36. The idea here is to move back two numbers in the sequence to get the next bet amount if it is a win. For a loss, the next bet amount is the next number in the series.

So, if the bet is 8 and the outcome is a win, the next bet is 3, while if it's a loss, the next bet amount is 13.

To play roulette using D'Alembert strategy, start by wagering on red/black, odd/even, or 1-18/19-36. If the bet wins, reduce the bet amount by 1 and play the same bet as the previous. If it is a loss, increase the bet amount by 1 and play the same bet.

In practice, that means if the bet amount is 5 and it's a win, the next bet amount is 4 while for a loss, it will be 6.
